CIBC – PGA Cognizant Classic Sponsorship
February marked the first year of CIBC’s sponsorship with PGA’s Cognizant Classic Tournament. I was fortunate enough to escape the cold of the Midwest and fly out to Palm Beach to capture this event.
CIBC Client Stories
In the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with and tell the stories of numerous CIBC clients. Some were new clients, others have been with us for nearly 50 years, but each of them have an amazing story and a strong relationship with their bank.
CIBC – Jack & Pat’s Old Fashioned Butcher Shop
One of my first videos with CIBC, telling the story of their relationship with Jack & Pat’s Old Fashioned Butcher Shop in South Chicago. Jack & Pat’s has been a pillar in the community for 50 years, serving up quality meats and fantastic prices. Was a real pleasure getting to tell John and Karen’s story.
NAI Hiffman | Hiffman National
At the start of the new year, I took on my new position as Digital Designer with the commercial real estate firm NAI Hiffman. In the short time that I’ve been there, I’ve had the opportunity to work on developing video, photo, animated, and graphic design content for social media and brokerage marketing packages.
Double Grave – “Whatever”
Earlier this year, my friends in Double Grave reached out to me about putting together a music video for their new LP Goodbye Nowhere. We had initially planned to shoot some footage on the road while they toured to support the album, but COVID-19 crushed those dreams. Instead, we shot a quick performance in my backyard, compiled a bunch of old tour footage, and pieced together the video for “Whatever.”
Tour videos evoke an innate sense of nostalgia and longing for those special fleeting moments at and between shows. With COVID-19 putting gigs on hold indefinitely, that feeling has been especially resonate. The VHS aesthetic played a huge part in leaning into those nostalgic vibes, but also played a major functional role: it let me incorporate some less-than-stellar cellphone footage.

Also, buy Goodbye Nowhere – it’s so good!
Melodic Noise Media
Since September of 2019, I’ve worked as a contributor to local music blog Melodic Noise Media. I’ve been attending gigs across the Twin Cities, taking photos and interviewing local musicians. Check out a few of my favorite photos below and follow along at [melodicnoisemedia.com].

Oh, Martha! (2019)
Oh, Martha! is a comedy short directed and produced by Jack Buckholz in the Spring of 2019. It tells the story of a paranoid husband who goes to great lengths to protect his wife and home from an unknown evil.
Oh, Martha! was screened as a part of the Twin Cities Film Fest’s Minnesota Shorts Showcase on January 18th, 2020.

Shooting 35mm
As if videography and filmmaking weren’t expensive enough hobbies, I’ve recently started shooting and self-developing my own film. I bought a pair of Minolta SLRs and an Olympus point-and-shoot. I also found an old Soviet camera in the trash.

Keeping my Instagram up to date with new film shots.
Bobert & Sean
I sat down for an interview with my old friends Bobert & Sean.
Double Grave – “Deadend”
Directed, shot, and edited this music video for local group Double Grave. My favorite track off of their most recent EP Empty Hands.
